Bonfire Grille - Milford

My husband and I are truckers, this was our 2nd time to be in Connecticut for the weekend...wanted to see the beach and have a nice dinner for Father's day...and this place was AWESOME!!!...from the moment of walking in..to our young waiter...(WHO WAS GREAT AND COMPLETELY ON POINT!! ..to our app, the drinks and the food...EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! My chicken was incredibly juicy, my husband's oysters he said we're EXCELLENT AND OCEAN FRESH!! We'd recommend this place to everyone! We will definitely be back!! Thank you for an awesome Father's day!!

Great local beach bar. Relaxed. Food is very good. Staff is super friendly. They usually have one local IPA on tap plus the standards.Food: 5/5

Tonight was not their best. My wife and I went to BFG for our anniversary. We have gone here several times and have always had a great experience. Tonight was not one of those times. They were slow and still it took over 40 mins for our apps, 6 wings and mussels. The wings were very good but the mussles were absolutely tasteless. The waitress was not attentive, only stopping once to see how we were every other time having to her attention or some other staff never offered refills or additional drinks. We had dirty water glasses for which when my wife's was replaced I had to clean the rim again. The main dishes, the twin lobster rolls were very light on lobster(although many places are doing this) the fries were cold when they came out and my wife's pulled pork mac and cheese was bland other than the extra helping of sauce. Again we have great times here but tonight sunk our anniversary dinner.

Came in as a 5 top without a reservation on the first warm Tuesday of the year. Drew; our server; was literally 9 tables deep when we were seated. Drew did fantastic and they had trivia; the food was excellent despite how busy it was. Definitely would recommend this place.

First time in Connecticut and wanted to try a place that was happening. I drove by this restaurant a few days ago and saw many cars parked around it. Figured the food was good. Boy was I disappointed. The clam chowder was good, the fried oyster sliders were lacking a lot, the garlic parm wings were the same you would get from B-dubs. Worst of all, it took our waitress Julia 10 minutes to acknowledge that we were even seated in her area. She drug her feet to get our drink orders, to bring the food out, to get us refills and to finally get us the check. It has been a while since we have received substandard service from a server. Will not go there again or recommend this place to anyone.
