Ortobello Hamburger Joy - Milano

Had lunch here prior to the horse racing at San Siro. Sat inside. Friendly staff. Great menu. We had a couple of beers, hummus, nachos and a club sandwich with fries. All the food was great. Good value for money. Highly recommended, especially if going to the races.

Just having come from the US, the last thing we wanted was American food, but it was the only restaurant in the immediate area, and we were hungry. This place is in an interesting spot. It looked like just a beer stand from the streets to the east, and it wasn 't until we got right up to it that we were sure it was an actual restaurant. It 's a completely outdoor restaurant. it 's fun inside. Lots of lush greenery, and iron patio furniture, and a nice little garden area on the west end of the building . We entered in the back (west), which was actually the side. It was busy for lunch, and we had some trouble getting a server 's attention. Next time we 'd be sure to go in the front (east), but those who were just stopping in for the bar used the west entrance, so nothing wrong with that if you know what you 're doing. The food was delicious great quality. Their burgers and fries were really very good. They offered a nice menu of American style sandwiches. The ingredients were fresh. Frankly, I think the club sandwich may have better than anything I 've had at home. They served the sandwiches on skewers, which was fun. The presentation for all of it was great. The service, however, was weak. The server, himself, was pleasant. The restaurant was decidedly understaffed. Somehow my order was lost, so everyone in my party had finished and were ready to go before I even got my order. I had a difficult time even getting anyone 's attention to let them know about the issue.

Un aperitivo easy, facilmente raggiungibile per la facilità di parcheggio proprio di fronte al locale... Easy to drink !
