My friend told me this new restaurant is worth a try. So i decided to go with my husband last week. The place is very new, clean and modern. Especially if you are a big fan of cars. The food is really fair, no surprise....Also had to wait too long to be served to your table. The price is medium, they also have a set lunch deal which is about euro.
Great eating, but a catastrophe when it's overcrowded. we are waiting for desserts. dessert is even a wrong order. we wanted to cancel it like time, but they won't listen. last problem is booked at thefork with discount. but. if we want to pay, they said they don't have our booking, which is impossible because I'm using it on my phone. I even showed them when I first entered the restaurant. they don't care at all and are rude without explanation. there is a long line behind us that makes me feel bad. I'm sorry for the customers waiting for me. I decided to pay the full price, but the other customer helped to talk to them and at the end I got the discount (but it is not worth it because they are super rude and anxious). I didn't care, but the way they talked and without careful and explanation is the worst. super bad service. I ate there more than time before I recommend it to friends. I won't even get angry when the last time the stream went in the night, so it's totally dark. but after that I will say goodbye. many other beautiful restaurants near with good service such as maoji or mao hunan.
It’s originality stops at the interior design and the way some food are presented. (On toy cars) The menu is common and the quality is so-so. Most of their customers are wealthy students from China, whose main motive was to catch up with their friends...rather than to have a culinary experience. The tiny spring rolls are an extortion. The steamed dumplings were lukewarm and stuck together.
I am far from an expert, still tried many, including a few that are rated as true to specific Chinese regional tastes rather than to European ones. This felt surprising and a discovery at every dish. There were a few of us so we had...a chance to order more than a dozen dishes, many we never even heard of before. They were pleasantly different from each other. Even two different kinds of beef pearls (nuggets), one with nuts and one with taro, felt different in moisture, texture and flavour rather than, as often happens, a same base dish with different spicing mixed in. Both relatively spicy and very mild-tasting dishes were good and interesting. Service is extremely kind and pleasantly, intensely communicating through the language barrier. The toy car-focused furniture, ornaments and serving accessories are funny and may be pleasant if you wish. Prices reasonable, and we even got an unexpected discount. We will want to be back until we have tried each and every item in the rich and for us very new and original menu.
