Big wide open dining area, huge windows for natural lighting truly an amazing space. Now let's talk about food. This place is most known for its mole. The Mole was great. But this was also my first ever mole so I don't have anything to compare it too. The darker mole had this super intense dark chocolate flavor. The middle mole has spices that were out of this world. Had like the slowly intensifying heat. The ceviche was so good one of the most beautiful plates I've seen in my entire life. All the dishes were plated so beautiful. It was truly art. The coolness of the ceviche along with the spiciness of the chip things was perfect! Tostada was solid it has dried grasshopper on it. Probably the best hospitality/service I've ever had. The food was good, although I will say for the price and prestige of the restaurant I thought the food would be a little better. I am very glad I got to have my Pujol experience but I probably wouldn't go back my next time in CDMX. You're welcome.
Definitivamente, el plato de mole madre con tortilla de hoja santa es increíble y vale la pena limpiar el plato, pero lamentablemente varios comensales de la mesa no pudieron terminarlo porque ya estaban llenos. Es una pena que uno de los mejores platos termine en la basura. Deberían servirlo antes. Este es uno de esos restaurantes de los que la gente siempre dice que merece una estrella Michelin, y aunque es bueno, aún les falta mucho para estar en la guía. En conclusión, es una buena experiencia para ir una vez en la vida, pero por el precio que se paga, ¿volvería? No. Creo que hay otros restaurantes mucho mejores y más económicos.
This is supposedly one of the best restaurants in the world so it was a must try when I came to visit. The environment was nice and the staff went above and beyond. With the ratings they have, I was expecting for the food to be amazing throughout and was slightly disappointed. We had a total of 6 different courses. The beginning of the tasting was amazing but then quickly went downhill. This was disappointing as tastings usually get progressively better. The courses we had were: 1. Snack the had this delicious corn coated in a delicious sauce made out of ants . This was easily a 10/10. 2. Margarita scallop ceviche; heart of palm juice, pico de gallo Amberjack tostada, serrano pepper mayonnaise, grasshopper this was amazing, super flavorful, and unique incorporating grasshoppers into this! 10/10 3. Sea bass, green pistachio mole, shallot, fava beans, watercress perfectly cooked, flavorful, unique. 10/10 4.Braised lamb, guacamole, pasilla was expecting lamb to be in one singular piece. Instead it was shredded lamb, it felt like it was a waste as a nice restaurant should not be serving shredded meat. It was not very flavorful and dry. No one in my party of 7 could eat more than 2 bites. 2/10. 5. Mole madre 3071 days, mole nuevo made with seasonal fruit this was the worst dish. Mole is an acquired taste and it's disappointing that this has to be on the tasting menu. No one in my party could eat this. 0/10 6. Soursop mousse, citrus interesting, unique, never had this before. It was good and refreshing. 8/10 The tasting came out to about $220 USD. It was a good experience but wish the tasting was progressively had better courses throughout rather than get progressively worse. I think I would enjoy this tasting more if mole was not on the menu or if we were able to switch it to something else as it being one of the full tasting courses seemed wasteful. I would recommend this experience but would be aware of some of the courses as mole was largely incorporated into this tasting.
Es un lugar demasiado pretencioso. Los platos no valen la pena, son realmente feos. Lo peor la sopa y elMole, que me dieron ganas de vomitar. La gente va porque tiene nombre pero no vale la pena para nada. Encima te arrancan la cabeza. 2 mil pesos por cubierto. No se les ocurra ir. Ojalá antes de perder el tiempo ahí alguien me hubiera dicho esto. Espero les sirva.
La experiencia por sí misma vale mucho la pena. La técnica, el sabor y la presentación de los platos son excepcionales. La atención del personal es muy buena aunque en when eral el servicio es algo lento
