La Poblanita de Tacubaya

I went to have breakfast with my family, everything was ok. Quesadillas are soft and the cheese is very tasty and creamy. Coffee is delicious and the “conchas con nata” are superb! Will go back without any doubt.

Family style restaurant good for all ages, the homey Mexican food you crave and everyone loves. Great service, very attentive. Can recommend the Horchata and Coconut water drinks, then the Chilaquiles con Carne (the green sauce is amazing! A very generous portion too. Also the Green Pipian with Pork was excellent as was the Chile Relleno. Hand made tortillas were lovely as was the table hot sauce, very flavorful and spicy. Lovely time had by all in a relaxed ambiance, you will enjoy it, it's worth a visit by all means, they're breakfasts are amazing as well. Plus at the end we were shocked by the bill, less than $500 MX for 3 adults! What a deal!!! Also saw reviews saying this is not a famous place, obviously not well informed, since this place has been a tradition since 1947, even past Presidents have dined there! So if you want true Mexican food in a relaxed and casual setting, do bring your family here

Admittedly, it is not a famous place, but it is the best Mexican restaurant in the city for me. Unfortunately, there are no so many tables inside, so predictably the wait time is longer on weekends and holidays. But frankly, it worth to wait. Dishes sizes are really big, and astonishingly, not so expensive. Try to go on weekend, a mariachi band plays some Mexican melodies while you enjoy your meal. It is a must if you want to live a really Mexican experience.

There is a place in Mexico City where you have to wait approximately 2 hours to sit down to eat, then you have to suffer the bad service and the disorganization of the waiters, and despite all this, everybody comes out with a smile from ear to ear. The reason is the best Chile en Nogada that can be eaten in this city, in addition to a variety of typical dishes from the State of Puebla, all of them delicious. Congratulation to the kitchen of La Poblanita de Tacubaya, but we would appreciate if you pay more attention to the service.
