This was unequivocally the worst dining experience I have ever had. I ordered the special, which was roast turkey served with a vegetable medley. Unfortunately, the turkey was incredibly dry—eating it felt like chewing on sand. The portion was ridiculously small; I honestly wondered if I was being pranked. The stuffing was flavorless, and it seemed like it was just hot bread with no seasoning or substance. I requested gravy in hopes of improving the dish, but it didn't help at all. The vegetables had a texture similar to undercooked pasta and lacked any flavor—everything was bland. My fiancé and his mother ordered the Shrimp Dinner, which consisted of only six pieces of fried shrimp that were astonishingly tasteless. It felt more like an appetizer than a main course, and they weren't even given cocktail sauce or any other accompaniment. The food was simply terrible. Despite there being salt and pepper available on the table, it was clear that the kitchen was unfamiliar with seasoning. I managed to take just a couple of bites but found it so unappetizing that I couldn't eat more. I left feeling both hungry and frustrated that we paid $65 for such a poor meal. The restrooms were filthy, and the service was painfully slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. While our waitress was pleasant, I will never return to this establishment.

Bad service and less than stellar food. When we asked the waitress what was on one of the sandwiches (the menu only had the names), not only could she not tell us, but also couldn’t be bothered to find out the information. The mushrooms on the hamburger were at room temperature and the cheese was just-out-of-the-refrigerator cold. The actually burger was bland. The beef vegetable soup also lacked seasoning. The only redeeming quality was the hostess, who was very nice and give us free monkey bread.

The food is average, but the atmosphere is comfortable and quaint. Not sure it’s worth the price, though. A little too tourist-trappy for me.

This was a nice local restaurant for a no fuss meal. Service was good, food came fast, and the quality and price were good. We were in and out in less than 40 mins, the price was only a few dollars more than what we would have paid at McDonald's. I got the roast beef dinner on a Sunday afternoon and have no complaints. Yes it's a little dated and it's not fine dinning but that's not what they are trying to be either. This was our first time here and we would definitely stop again.
