The more I dive out, the more I discover that the market for sitting American restaurants is bigger than I thought before. Today I ate my first meal at every Cheddar's location. I'm comparing it with Charlestons. They have the same focus on as many homemade items as possible, a seafood option that is different from the standard salmon and shrimps (here it is black redfish), and a menu that is dedicated to American favorites such as steak, baby back ribs, hand-baked chicken pliers and mentally prepared fish. It feels like what TGI Friday 's or Applebee 's would be if you had all TVs in these restaurants. It's still hard to talk to people sitting over the table, but that's just because there are so many other people in the restaurant. I ordered her signature black redfish with crab sauce. It was delicious. I haven't had much redfish yet, but the spices they had added to it had enough zipper to contrast well with the creamy sauce above. I couldn't say if it tasted like crab, and I definitely didn't see any crabs in it. Fortunately, they didn't drown the fish. I have two sides with this duck and ordered potatoes and green beans. The former were delicious some of the best potatoes I had in a restaurant. I like it when people can make mashed potatoes from scratches that are as creamy as instant mashed potatoes. When you go to the skins, I'm in the potato sky. You also get bonus points for potato pistolation hot. Halfway into my meal they were still warm enough to let me wait a second before I put them in my mouth. The green beans of the country were disappointing. They may have started with fresh green beans, but I could not say the difference between these Italian green beans and managed Italian green beans. If land means Limp and does not season, then good. I won't order them again. The only reason I wouldn't rate Cheddar 's a 4.5 or 5 is that the service was pretty slow. Our server was very attentive, but it was difficult to get his attention because there were so many people in the restaurant. I had to ask for a box three times before he finally gave it to me.
The restaurant was easily protected at an annoying, cold evening at 8:00. I sat at the cozy bar, which had matched two large flat screens to the football match. The prices for all menu items end with a 9 . Madisen immediately took my beverage and food order. I ordered the delicious $5.79 Santa Fe Spinach Dip served with one side of salsa and a $4.79 Blue Moon Pint. Not many designs beers are available, but many bottles of beers, cocktails and special drinks are listed. For a night capsule the cheap $6.29 Glenfiddich was perfect.
We live about 30 minutes from Cheddars and decided to make the long trip to check them. It was worth the ride. The service was great and the food was great. We ordered the cheeseries as an appetizer and they were good, but nothing new. My husband had the New Orleans Pasta and he loved the taste. He wished the smoked sausage had been andouille. Since we had the cheeseries, he couldn't finish his pasta and that says a lot. I had the Key West chicken and shrimp and it was AWESOME! The glaze/ sauce was simply sweet enough with just a touch of heat. The chicken was juicy and the shrimps were perfect. I was not impressed by the two sides I chose. I had the coke corn and the broccoli cheese caserole. The corn was unnoticed, and the broccoli cheese caserole had a raw oat that was strange, and the casserole was not a casole. It was only broccoli with cheese and rice that were stirred together. It didn't taste like it was cooked together for every time. The taste was just okay, but would have been great if it was baked for 30 -45 minutes and allowed to thicken the cheese and just a bit. Next time I choose two different pages. Oh, yes, I also ordered the 3 honey butter forces and had them with my meal. I gave my husband one and the other two. They were perfect, light, buttery and simply sweet enough to you want half a dozen more. Needless to say, we had no room for dessert. We look forward to coming back soon.
Drinks were cold and food hot. Service exceeded expectations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was busy when we were there but they handled it well!!!
