Sunbury Crab Company - Midway

Where do i start with this restaurant. We walk in on a sunday around 3 pm, and they are not walk-in in friendly. If you dont have a reservation, dont bother coming here. There is no wait list at all they will just turn you away. We had the tuna app and wings and fried fish tacos for dinner. Wings were recommended by the server, btw when asked. We get the tuna, and i kid you not. it 's just tuna slabs on a plate with soy wasabi and ginger. Tuna is okay. Next, the entrees the fried fish tacos were great with a nice horseradish kick, and the fries were great. The wings, on the other hand, were so dry im happy i ordered my 1$ tap water, and yes, they do charge for tap water, so be aware. I wouldn 't ask for ice cause I 'd probably be charged another dollar on top. I 've never sent back wings in my life, let alone a dish at a restaurant. So we eat one wing and send them back. Also, dont bother doing 2 different flavors for the wings cause they won 't do it anyways ? Go figure. We get our check, and the wings are still on there, and the server say we at 3 or 4 wings, so we couldn 't remove them. So we ask for a manager and we explain our situation. The entire time, he is against refunding anything and, in his 20 years, has never had wings sent back. Thanks for the back story. And i qoute the manager said i dont send out juicy wings . This place from beginning to end was like an episode of kitchen nightmares. Do yourself a favor and go a couple miles more to fish tales! We didn 't vlame our server, which was great, and we still left 20%. Go ahead and avoid this place.

The worse greetings, host son with his negativity is unbearable. We left to spend our money else where. Call mom now… mumbling boi, say it with your chest or don’t speak up at all. Second note; being out on boat all day I was hungry have not heard good things about this place and thought well I should try my self. Aha never again. EVER! Presentation is everything and having that kinda staff I see why they loose money. By the way the dock is a MASSIVE hazard rusty and falling apart accident waiting to happen. Y’all should invest back into that…

Very disappointed in the service. We were driving from Florida to NC. After a long day on the road already and several hours ro fo, we wanted to stop for a nice relaxing meal. We checked online and saw that the next available reservation was further out than we wanted. We called to ask if they take walk ups and we were told they were full foe the night but if we came we could order to fo and eat our on the patio. We explained we were traveling from FL to NC and that, according to GPS we would be there in 20 minutes. The person on the phone said that would be perfect because they had temporarily closed to go but would open it back up in 30 minutes. We arrived and went to the hostess who advised that they were full foe the night and ro fo would nor reopen. We explained we had driven our of our way based on our phone call where we were encouraged to come. She asked us to wait while she went to ask someone only to return and explain they would not serve us. We were very tired and disappointed at this outcome. I will not attempt to return on future trips.

Local table of 4, spent over $300, and asked to leave after an hour because they don’t allow enough time between reservations. Won’t be back, the food isn’t THAT good…
