For appetizers, we enjoyed the garlic tempura shrimp, egg rolls, and shumai. For main dishes, we had the oxtail kare kare, bangus, and pinakbet. Highly recommend that you save room for dessert, because there's a halo halo, but we selected the leche flan brulee and the turon a la mode. The restaurant is decorated well, very clean, and the music has a vibe. Definitely come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, because you will be satisfied!
The Flaming Halo-halo is uniquely delicious. While the chicken sisig didn't quite impress me, the kare kare was good, and the tender beef left a lasting impression. The bulalo brought back memories of Tagaytay with its authentic Filipino taste. There's potential for improvement, and the chef's friendly demeanor adds to the overall experience.
They were nice enough to stay open late for us but to be honest this isn’t Filipino food like I grew up on. Very pricey and food was very disappointing! Everything just seemed too salty and didn’t taste like authentic Filipino food. The flaming halo halo was cool but even that didn’t taste sweet enough. Service in the beginning was excellent but as the nite ended it seemed difficult to ask for anything. There was one guy with blonde hair who was super nice and very hospitable. The nicest person there. But over all the food didn’t meet our expectations and location was too far for the price and quality. Seemed like very nice people though.
Since I was in town, I decided to come here with my husband and my friend who lives in Vegas. I've had this place bookmarked because of their Flaming Halo Halo. Nonethless, I was craving sinigang after a long night out, so I was banking on Full House to do the job. We arrived around 1:15 pm on a Sunday thinking we'd be bypassing the lunch rush but we were wrong. There wasn't anyone in front of us in line, but we did not get seated until 2:25 pm. We were a party of 3. I was starving, so I was a bit restless. I even had to walk out to walk around to a nearby Japanese mart just to keep myself busy and distracted from being so hungry. I think the thing with Filipino food is that it takes quite some time to cook but not only that, a lot of Filipinos families like to just catch up and chit chat even when their done with their meals, so that also adds into the time. I almost felt like they were short staffed, but it honestly could've been just a smaller kitchen space. Not too sure, just don't come here hungry on the weekends. Luckily, I already knew what we wanted to order right away, so we got our order going. The food didn't take super long, thank goodness. We started off with the Beef Shank Sinigang. Loved how sour the soup was, however, I feel like the big bone is nice for show and everything but can also be messy being in positioned in such a small soup pot. The meat was tender. There were lots of cartilage and tendon (which I love), so that's a plus. Next up, the Longonisa and Tocino were delicious. The Longonisa was the sweet, and the Tocino was less fatty than it normally is. The Truffle Lechon Fries were very gluttinous. The crispy lechon pieces were great, however, I don't know where the truffle comes into play. I think there were a lot of flavors going on, but still enjoyable. The Oxtail Adobo Fried Rice would be hard to mess up. Flavorful and good to even eat by itself. The sisig was nice and sizzling! Tasty and delicious with a lemon spritz. Got to enjoy some nice crispy bits, as well. To end off our late lunch, we had to order the infamous Flaming Halo Halo. The presentation was beautiful, and loved the fire flare. What sets this halo halo apart from other spots is that they add corn and cantaloupe. Not sure if we were much fans of those additions. On the other hand, we did enjoy the flan, the nata de coco (my absolute fave), the ube ice cream, and the crispy pandan rice bits. My husband had also ordered the Calamansi Juice, but the juice was too sweet for us. I'd probably come back to try other items, but preferably not during a busy time. The interior was a bit confusing. There was a vase full of bullets, a horse statue, and lots of wooden boxes. I guess its supposed to be reminiscen of the countryside or ranch living of the Philippines. The service was decent, but could be better. They were friendly though. Not recommended for big parties, most tables are best for 2 4 people. However, there was a party of 8 that I did see during my visit. There is lots of free parking in the plaza.
Food was okay. We ordered bistek and it came out in a nice sizzling platter, however, it did not have much taste. The lumpia Shanghai came in a beautiful jeepney, however, the lumpia was a little too salty for my taste. We also ordered tortang talong which came out pretty good. Their BBQ chicken was really good and that also came out on a sizzling platter. I would highly recommend there flaming halo-halo. I don’t really like halo-halo, but this place has the best halo-halo I’ve ever tasted and they light it up with fire on top. Best halo-halo in town. I would go back just for the flaming halo-halo. The place itself is pretty small, but the decorations are super nice.
