Wong's Express - Midlothian

It was just okay. Had high hopes seemed only lack of taste. General Tso Chicken almost more like orange chicken and no spices or taste would you expect. Teriyaki Chicken was fine. House rice had good mix of shrimp and other meat, but felt it would also have used a small ooomphe. Hot acid soup was okay, but too many mushrooms. Maybe next time, hopefully.

This place has been a hidden gem for years and a tradition when returning from Scarborough Ren Faire. Places don't become tradition unless they are the best and this place is. The food never fails to satisfy or fill you up. There's usually leftovers and if there aren't that just means you leave hurting. Don't get me wrong, the food and service is great but the place isn't very big for dine in. We've either been lucky or just the majority of their business is takeout. Either way you can't go wrong with Wong.

I get the kung pow chicken, it's spicy but not to hot. The price is right and the portions are plenty. Some of the others dishes are not always popping with flavor but, over all it's not bad. Try the crab rangoon and the dumplings.

I always take food to-go from here. While I don't think it's a great place to dine in, the food is consistently good, hot, and delicious.
