Michael's Charcoal Grill - Midland

As others have noted, this restaurant is on the pricey side. You could easily end up with a $30 burger if you start adding extra toppings at $2 each. However, near the salad bar, there are excellent complimentary toppings like salsas, pico de gallo, jalapeños, peppers, and onions. Personally, I would skip the premium toppings except for cheese and take advantage of the free options instead. That way, the price for a burger or sandwich isn't too bad. The portion sizes for the sandwiches are quite generous. I tried the grilled chicken, which was juicy and had a wonderful grilled flavor. The onion rings were good, although I might have missed why they were considered the standout dish; they were just enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, with plenty of staff dedicated to cleaning tables, clearing plates, and maintaining the salad bar. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly—about 8 minutes on a relatively quiet day—and was very fresh.

I really appreciate the nostalgic diner atmosphere of this place, but what I love even more is the food and the friendly staff. They are always kind and willing to help, and many of the employees make a special effort to remember regular customers like me! The food is consistently tasty as well. The highest compliment I can give is that the staff are genuinely personable and make an effort to customize menu items to fit your preferences whenever they can. It’s a fantastic spot!

Pretty cool place, airplanes models everywhere. If you love aircraft you'll enjoy sitting in here and looking at all the pictures and stuff while you eat. Big burgers too

It had been a long time since I came in. Last time there was alot of flies, alot of people, and staff were flustered and busy not friendly at all, so that made it the reason I didn't come back. It has been over 12 to 15 yrs. This time I came in and 1# it was friendly service, 2# no flies, and 3# food was so delicious we will definitely be back again soon.

Only had one issue in over the several times visited.
