Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with delicious food and attentive service. However, when the bill arrived, we were surprised to find a $10 charge that we didn't comprehend. It turned out to be a charge for ice in our drinks! I couldn’t believe it! I asked to speak with the manager, who was quite defensive and insisted that this was a standard charge. Really? In what world is that normal? Thankfully, the waitress kindly removed the charge from the bill and apologized. It really felt like a scam to us!
The decor was lovely, and the service was warm and welcoming. We both ordered Eggs Benedict, and while the poached eggs were fresh, everything else was cold. The grilled mushrooms and tomatoes were raw, and the English muffin wasn't toasted. We also took a single bite of the cold home fries before sending them back. It felt like the food had been reheated in the microwave, almost as if they had forgotten a zero when it came to the temperature. The coffee was weak, barely more than watered-down beverage. It's a real disappointment because the place is beautiful and the staff are so nice.
As I was looking up one of the beers on my phone to see its style, the owner approached us and rudely asked if I was going to order a beer or keep playing games on my phone. He hadn’t greeted us or made any effort to engage beforehand. I explained that I was actually checking the beer on tap. He responded by saying I should have asked him, even though he was busy chatting with the people beside us, and I didn’t want to interrupt. After that, he turned his back to us to tend to other customers across the bar. At that point, my boyfriend and I decided we didn’t want to order anything and left to dine next door at Mondo instead. Perhaps the owner was having a rough day or was simply exhausted, but that doesn’t excuse such a poor way to greet new customers, especially ones who might have returned and supported the business in the future. A simple "hello" or "welcome" would have made a huge difference. We won’t be returning.
Food and staff are above and beyond amazing . We’ve been coming here every year since our wedding weekend (here) In 2014 and the food is outstanding it’s a one of a kind place!!
Nice bar. Be ready to pay top dollar for a drink . Small bar and with a hand full of people feels crowded . Bartender was nice . Obviously didnt compensate any drinks given the near 100% tip I was giving him... will never go back but definitely a neat place to check out.
