San Cristobal was located in a downbeat industrial-like area. At first, we thought we’re going to regret trying it. That fear increased briefly the moment we walked in and a customer drinking coffee at the counter turned to us with an ill-disposed look. But just a moment later we’re sitting at this peculiar room, on chairs and tables decorated with rustic paintings of Mexican rural life, all very colorful and uplifting. Thanks to Covid-19, I assume, the small eating room was nearly empty at noon on a Saturday. We ordered the house stake with soft tortillas and a cactus salad. They served chips and salsa as we waited. The whole atmosphere was homey, and so was the food. The after-lunch coffee was disappointing, but the bill was about right. Do stop by when you’re around.
Good food, OK drinks. Nice place. Mostly packed despite their slightly overpriced menu (compared to other local restaurants in the area) cocktails are average at best.
Love the food, shrimp ceviche is my fav, delicious and consistent unlike other places in town. The chicken chimchanga is great and their tamarind water is rich in flavor. Wish they delivered cause I don't drive.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy. Our server was incredibly patient and friendly. This is definitely a place I would recommend.
Authentic Mexican food, the best in the area, excellent service
