Anthony's Seafood - Middletown

We happened upon this place and were pleasantly surprised by how great it was.

Consistently delicious, no longer a local secret but still an excellent value for Newport area. Parking: No street parking and only about 20 parking spaces which is fewer than the number of tables.

Additional information.... We're from out of town and identified ourselves as such so you would think they would attempt to make a great first impression. The stuffed quahog was mostly bread, just downright plain and I ordered the spicy. Have to downgrade them because we're almost $70 they should have at least accomplished an 8 and they didn't come close!!!! Also, you can see from the picture that the lobster roll was very small. The Fries weren't hot and you only get a few.

Average place, plain food with no seasoning. Fish tacos we're actually a 7/10. The stuffed quahog appetizer was dry and bland 1/10, the king pao calamari was decent, a 8.5/10, the best part of the hot lobster roll was the roll, 4/10. Customer service was average and no one was super friendly. It really wasn't worth the trip. Save yourself the headache and take the drive to Providence.

Based on high ratings, I ate at Anthony's today. I don't get it. Fish tacos had almost no fish, lots of fried coating and French fries. I had a choice of fish and asked for cod, got thin small pieces of flounder. There is basically no service.
