Hungry Horse Highfield - Middlesbrough

Possibly the worst all day breakfast I’ve ever had. Had it at 4:30pm but it looked like a child had rustled it up this morning and it had been left in the oven till now

Recently moved to boro and highfield has become our regular Friday night local.... quiz night, food and drink all great......shame about the quizmasters red jacket

Friday night quiz nights are good fun and have a good friendly atmosphere. Really good food, I definitely recommend the burgers!

We visited on Thursday for tea. I’m not from the area but I met my son&girlfriend who are at uni here. It was his birthday. Plenty of parking. Plenty of tables so no need to pre book. Pre downloaded the greene king app, so ordered food and drink via this. They accept blue light vault codes too saving use 20%. We had steak, crown burgers and Mac n cheese. All were lovely The lady who delivered our food/drinks was lovely, chatty and very welcoming. I wish I got her name as she needs recognition for 5* customer service. I’m not a snob but there were too many screaming and out of control children at times, whilst there parents we’re having a good time. This is the only reason i won’t return. I wish we found the Adult only area when we arrived as our visit would have been different

We use the hungry horse in Hessle and tried the highfield as we were out of town. This pub was (almost) just as good with friendly service, a good range of beer and skysports to watch. The facilities were spotless and the atmosphere of the pub was welcoming
