After months of trying to try this place, and then upselling it to my mother, (who hasn't had a lot of experiences with different/exotic cuisines she's 72, for Pete's sake. Do you know how many people of that age haven't had a food you take for granted, like a proper taco? we finally work it into our lunch plans only to find that it's CLOSED, and has been since late JUNE. I was quite disappointed, as I was looking forward to supporting a supposedly woman owned business, featuring a pretty decent looking menu. My understanding of capitalism suggests that this place will never open again how can you be closed for a month and still pay rent? So, sadly, I won't be bothering to try again. RIP.
First time trying this place and wow, I am impressed! Wanted some comfort food (grew up with a Korean mom, eating lots of Korean food), and wasnt expecting this level of deliciousness. The sauces are unique (I did add also my own gochujang sauce to the bulgogi bibimbap), and the flavors are on point for everything. Very happy to have found this place.
I have been here a few times and the food is good. If you get the spicy BBQ Chicken sandwich make sure you have the Napkins handy as it is messy. The Romen soup is awesome as well as the chicken soup. The name escapes me at the moment but it is in a red broth. It is also pictured in the menu. Definitely not like American BBQ and it is interesting to see what other BBQ is like.
The food is very flavorful and delicious. Friendly staff Hidden Gem. Recommendations Korean Spicy Fried Chicken Tacos (as appetizer), and Korean Spicy Chiclen BBQ Bebimbab or Beef Bulgogi. Support this place! I need them around.
I've already written a review for this place and it was removed for some reason. It's not here anymore, anyway. I found this place to be a bit overpriced, but with good service and good food. It was confusing that they have a Brown Rice Grill banner that explains what bibimap is. Perhaps they are a re-branded location? Or the owner owned one of those before? I don't know the answer, but having the banner inside the store confuses people, it seems (it's mentioned by others). The chicken bibimap bowl I had was pretty good overall. I have had better, but nowhere around here! But it did feel like it cost an arm and a leg. Also, there were weird Air Force recruiting fliers on the counter.
