Surma Tandoori Indian Takeaway

I experienced top-tier service and a fantastic menu at this restaurant. My order was carefully prepared and presented with great attention to detail. The flavors and taste were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic dining experience.

I had been wanting to try a takeaway from Surma for a long time, but I was hesitant because it was mistakenly marked as permanently closed on TripAdvisor and some reviews were negative. However, do not let that discourage you - this is perhaps the best Indian takeaway I have tried in East Grinstead! Surma offers a wide and diverse menu, especially great for vegetarians. I opted for the kadai paneer, which had a nice spicy kick to it but was incredibly tasty. The puri bread was delicious, and we added a portion of aloo gobi on top, which enhanced the flavors even more. In short, the food is authentic and delicious, the portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and the food is ready on time. There are plenty of other dishes on the menu worth trying, so my recommendation for a fantastic Indian takeaway is to not overlook Surma in favor of more well-known Indian restaurants in East Grinstead.

We tried a few Bryiani dishes and naan bread at the restaurant. It was just okay, nothing extraordinary and somewhat lacking in flavor. Ordering was simple and the delivery took about an hour, carried out by a very friendly young man.

We placed our order and then realised we had forgotten to add something. My husband called them and they added the missing item to the order and for Free thank you. The order cam fairly qucikly and the food was good too, just what we needed

We have order here several times but recently the delivery service has gone down hill dramatically, twice in a row they got our order wrong and this time, the just didn't bother processing it, we had to ring after an hour and they said they hadn't checked the order but would start cooking it now. No apology, no effort to make amends. Plenty of other better, more efficient Indain resturants in East Grinstead.
