Repast Supper Club - Mid Sussex

I'm hesitant to share this review because I’d like to keep this gem a secret! This is by far the most exclusive dining spot in Hayward's Heath. It offers one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve ever had. Sam opens her home to just 12 guests a few times a year, creating a truly intimate atmosphere. Each time, she crafts an incredible and distinctive menu, always of the highest quality. Her passion for food and vintage recipes makes attending one of her supper clubs feel like a real privilege. It’s excellent value for the money and a fantastic evening overall. I can’t wait to book again! Just promise me you won't tell anyone!

We have attended other events prepared by Sam, and each time we find ourselves saying, "this is the best ever," and she has done it again! The highlight of the five-course meal was the perfectly cooked venison, although the pigeon pastry, rabbit pâté, and medlar sticky toffee pudding were all outstanding as well. This time, we were also treated to Neil as the sommelier, who expertly guided us through the carefully paired wines, mead, and sherry. We would never have tried such combinations on our own, and we're grateful for Neil and Sam's efforts in selecting the perfect matches. We eagerly anticipate future events!

We have attended several supper club gatherings hosted by Sam, and she is an outstanding chef. She takes great care in her cooking and incorporates historical recipes, which adds a unique touch. The food was absolutely delicious, making for another thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We booked a private dining experience for 11 friends and had a wonderful evening. We started with a delicious summer fruit Bellini in the garden then moved inside for a 4 course Italian themed menu of exquisite tastes and flavours, finishing with coffee and home made petit fours. Sam welcomes you to her home with warmth and generosity and calmly serves up an array of wonderful food without fuss. We brought with us a selection of wines for each course, kindly chosen for us by the local off licence Grape and Grain (highly recommended) which added extra interest and enjoyment to the meal. This is such a fabulous, unique experience and a really great way to enjoy exceptionally fine dining with friends. We are already discussing our next visit.
