They had a good selection of milkshakes for £2 each, with the option to add cream and sprinkles for £1.50 and a doughnut for 50p. We tried both options. While my step-daughter enjoyed her milkshake, the doughnut felt stale. We decided to order food, choosing from a menu that included breakfast items, toasties, paninis, burgers, and ham, egg, and chips. We both ordered bacon sandwiches and a side of chips. The sandwiches had cheap bread and only two slices of bacon, and the portion of chips was disappointing for £2.50. My step-daughter had a toastie which came with salad, coleslaw, and tortilla chips, a pleasant surprise. When it came time to pay, the process was slow and there was an issue with my card payment taking a long time to connect before being declined. Despite having enough funds, I was made to feel like the problem was on my end. I eventually paid in cash. Overall, I was not impressed with the quality of the food, the prices, or the customer service. I would only return for a drink, as a treat.
We have visited Dottie's several times now and it has become my children's favorite place to indulge. They offer a wide variety of milkshake flavors in both small and regular sizes, making it perfect for younger children. For an additional £1.00, you can go all out and add a doughnut, cream, and your choice of chocolate or sweets on top of your shake – and let me tell you, they are huge! The selection of chocolates and sweets is impressive, with around 20 options to choose from. In addition to their delicious shakes, they also serve fantastic coffee and offer a great food menu with generously sized portions at affordable prices. Dottie's is a true hidden gem, offering homemade food and tasty treats with excellent customer service and a spotless store – there's no need to look any further.
