The waiter was slow, kept forgetting our food and drink orders, and seemed inattentive overall. Despite the tasty food and pleasant ambiance, I would not recommend this restaurant due to the poor service.
The Plymouth Grill, located in the Plymouth Hotel, is a nice luxury hotel that is well-maintained. Unfortunately, the service at Plymouth Grill was practically non-existent. Despite making a reservation for lunch, I struggled to get the attention of any staff upon arrival. Eventually, a server directed me to a table but failed to provide any further assistance. I ordered a Mahi sandwich with fries, but was informed they had run out of ginger ale and never received the lemonade I requested. Although the food was tasty, I had actually ordered a salad instead of fries, which never arrived. Feeling hungry and not wanting to cause a scene, I decided to accept the mistake. Interestingly, the server had no trouble attending to two young, attractive women who sat down nearby, serving them promptly. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the service at Plymouth Grill was lacking in many aspects.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted by a host or hostess and had to ask the rude bartender where to sit. We were simply told we could sit anywhere. The restaurant appeared aged and many items on the brunch menu were unavailable. Despite Chicken and Waffles being a highlighted dish, there was no chicken available. The guacamole was unsalvageable, even after adding salt in an attempt to enhance the flavor.
The best pancakes in the city! I am addicted and believe it or not, the calal salad is also really good. if you want to go to a healthier one. but get the pancake; and btw serve the same fried chicken of blue ribbon. double yummy
I love my new home in south beach! this is a very special hotel from design to personal. the entire property is in untouched condition, and my room, a classic terrace (king was immaculate inside and outside and very well equipped. let me also add that I have read most negative reviews of this hotel before my arrival, and everyone is inaccurate and does not reflect the actual conditions of this hotel or any behavior. they were probably written by guests who simply wanted to complain or wanted to chat. everything about this hotel is perfect, and I am a perfectionist and immediately remember all mistakes where I go. this property is excellent! my only suggestions would be to offer free water when shutting down and not to charge for more than 2 Illy pods, especially as this hotel calculates a tourist tax. in any case, these suggestions are not very important to me in view of the entire service of the hotel. the personal makes this hotel truly spectacular. alex, the hotel manager, is really a jewel! she always has a big smile on her face and is ready to help in every way she can.
