The atmosphere is lovely, perfect for people-watching, and the bartender truly stood out as a highlight of our experience. However, the downsides of our visit unfortunately overshadowed the positive aspects. The guacamole, priced at $8, was essentially just half an avocado. While it tasted good, it felt overly expensive for the area. The pork, served in a charming little cast iron dish, was quite dry and excessively salty; it really needed a sauce to enhance it. The cheesy green rice casserole reminded me of something from a mediocre 1950s cookbook—overcooked, bland, and drowning in cheese. The drink menu was ambitious but felt unnecessary, using high-quality ingredients in overly complicated combinations just for the sake of being unique. For guacamole, green rice, pork tacos, and two drinks, we ended up spending over $80. They really need to rethink both their menu and pricing soon, or the neighborhood may miss out on what could be a great addition.
