Most of the ones that I've been to start out good, then few months later, the quality slowly declined but Firito Taco has been very consistent. It's a tiny shack, nothing fancy with bar stools and wobbly picnic tables outside. It's also hard to notice while driving on 79th causeway but it's next to Tap 79 Gastro Pub. They have few import beer selections but their taco concoctions are the main attraction here. I tried the Costilla (Coca-cola slow braised short ribs). They were melt in your mouth goodness! I was also was brave enough to try the Jarochito (10 hour braised pineapple pork w/ fried jalapeno). I was pleasantly surprised that the fried jalapeno actually added a semi-sweet taste to the taco and was not spicy at all. I absolutely loved this one! On my 2nd visit, I ordered the Guerrillero Pastor. It was again, delicious. The pineapple salsa with chipotle sauce complimented the juicy shredded pork very well. I will definitely keep coming back to this place and try all their other taco offerings. Prices are very reasonable too. $7 to $9 for two made to order and well-prepped taco yumminess!
Great little spot to go get a beer and some tacos. We ordered a couple tacos and the cheese quesadilla as well. The place is very clean and it's a great little spot to stop by and get some fresh homemade tacos. For each order you get two Tacos which is the only reason why I give it 4 stars because I think the price is a little bit steep considering most places will serve you three tacos for this price. The parking can be a little tricky due to the fact it is limited but it is easy Once you find parking for any handicap person to have seating outside. Seating is available outside and inside as well, also make sure that you order inside we made the mistake of sitting at a table and waiting for someone to take our order outside, rookie mistake. So please make sure to order inside and they will bring you out the food. Overall I highly recommend the place if you're in the area and it's always great to support your local mom-and-pop stores.
Small cozy little spot in North Miami a little hidden that you can’t see it from the street with parking spots available right in front of it. Great decor but but have some Spaniard bull fighting pieces that make you thing you are not in a taqueria. Very tasty food we had the guerrillero pastor and carne Asada tacos. Good selection of aguas frescas and Mexican sodas (jarritos) but the winner was the queso with chorizo. Service was great and very friendly. Will go back!
Definitely one of best tacos and quesadillas in North Miami. The food is made with quality ingredients and the staff is very friendly. I asked for an extra crispy quesadilla, and lord behold it was perfect! Even though the portions for the tacos seem small, they are surprisingly filling (we ordered 2 orders of tacos).
Yum. Cute atmosphere. Inside and out. Delicious tacos! Good variety. Friendly staff.
