Bungalow By The Sea - Miami Beach

We've been visiting this outdoor restaurant for years, and it has gone through numerous names, owners, managers, menus, and dishes over time. Unfortunately, The Bungalow does not live up to its former glory anymore. We spent eighty dollars on what felt like fast food, or perhaps even worse. The server even acknowledged that the crispy chicken sandwich was pre-cooked. We also tried a rather lackluster fish sandwich and some disappointing shrimp tacos. While the food was edible, it certainly wasn't worth the eighty dollars we spent. It's really disappointing for a place we've cherished for so long.

The ambiance is quite pleasant, and the staff is attentive. However, I ordered a shrimp cocktail that consisted of just five shrimp sitting on a bed of ice, with a small sauce on the side, all for $20. The shrimp were rather bland and unremarkable, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and lighter in the wallet. It was a one-time experience, and I wouldn’t return.

Well expected a nice lunch. hubby ordered chicken sandwich with fries. Was brought chicken sandwich and salad, when inquired, told ran out of fries at 1600. Never told this before receiving food. Offered chips and guacamole, received chips, no guac. Manager did come over to apologize and a free strawberry lemonade. Butttt then a waiter walks by with 2 bowls of fries, then our waiter, Lee says they just got some fries, would you like some? For real, Sorry. Won't be back here. Very disappointed. The sandwich and salad were good.

The food was good, the atmosphere/atmosphere of the restaurant/bar is good, but the service was not good. It took a while to get the attention of the waiters to find out that the drinks or something from our order was missing. We went for both lunch (not too busy) and early dinner (a little busy) and had the same experience. I would definitely recommend the mini lobster rolls, they were so good.Food: 5/5 Service: 2/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

We had a wonderful experience at the Bungalow. Bruno the manager came up and checked on us to make sure our meal was great! Our server was very nice and gave off great vibes! The food was so good! I would highly recommend this spot! My wife and I split the lobster pizza, guac and chips, and the fish tacos! Everything was so good! The Lobster pizza really surprised me, I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was! The guac was so fresh it was perfect! The fish tacos just really hit the spot! The only thing I'd change is the fries, all you have to do is substitute the fries for another side. Overall great beach bar with great service and top notch food! We'll definitely be back!
