Loon Saloon - Mettler

First time at the Loon will definitely be back. Owner is super friendly, great business to support!

We were at the Loon Saloon in August with a large group of 19, and the owner was super accommodating! We ended up sitting on the deck and it was great! Our waitress was the friendliest and most cheerful person I've ever encountered in a restaurant. The food was wonderful too! I'd highly recommend this place!

In order to help the servers, I encouraged them to bring 5 orders of kiddy cocktails along with a pitcher of cocktails.... The kids are going to drink it all and need more, in a busy environment. Literally trying to help them out.They instead changed the order to a pitcher of kiddy cocktails, which is about 4.5 drinks, and then the kids ended up without cherries (those with kids understand that cherries are 95% of the reason to order that drink).So I waited until they were done with the table, then I called the server to the side to talk about the problem... His response, I was out of reality and needed to be cut off from drinking a single beer. ? I guess the idea of teaching, training, and improving service is out of the question nowadays. I guess next time we'll just order every single kiddy cocktail one by one. ???‍

The Loon Saloon is a hidden gem with lake views! The service was impeccable, the atmosphere delightful, and the food was delicious! When in Cable the Loon Saloon must be on your places to visit list!

Wonderful lunch experience. My wife and I stopped there for a couple of burgers and beers. Service was very good, the food was tasty, the beers were cold, and the bill was cheap. Not much more we could ask for. We will be back next time we are in the area.
