Starbucks Reserve - Metro Manila

My go to starbucks for my morning coffee! baristas are always warm and friendly! My cafe americano with white mocha breve is always perfectly made! love the feelof this Starbucks Reserve branch!

Date of visit: March br/>This has been my last visit at any Starbucks branch ever since the community quarantine began. After our grocery errand, we stopped by this branch for afternoon snacks. Had my fave Signature Hot Chocolate. Ambience is nice although their space is a bit small.

Went here earlier for a quick Dark Mocha Frappe fix before heading out to a busy afternoon. I'm not a coffee connoisseur (I always have anything mocha because I like the sweet chocolate-y type) so I didn't know what difference Starbucks 'Reserve' had compared to the usual. I've learned that they have a wider selection of coffee here. Something for the caffeine junkies! I am a lover of anything Matcha, i got really giddy when i saw the Green Tea Strawberry Blossom Frapuccino (is it me or the name is too friggin long?). Anyway, this is such a letdown for green tea lovers as i don't taste green tea - not even an iota of it. The strawberry is prominent, it overpowers the green tea. A change in the name of the drink is on order - Strawberry Blossom perhaps?

Tried the Rwanda Abakundakawa yesterday. It's got low body and high acidity. One of the earlier Starbucks Reserve, this introduced their entry into the 3rd wave coffee phase. So they have 4 reserve coffees from which to choose, besides the usual Starbucks coffees, teas and drinks. Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Papua New Guinea. Ask the barista and they'll take you through the flavors and taste profile of each reserve. They now serve each coffee in a different cup (see the pic), plus on a tray. I hadn't been here in a few months so it's a nice new touch. Nice place, albeit inside a mall. Good place to hang. Especially when the wife is shopping and I just want to kick back and read my Phil Star. Haha.
