This is my mom and my ninong's favorite Italian restaurant. Going here as a child and still going here now, the food has remained excellent! The staff is also very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Despite it being a high-end restaurant, I feel very at home in L'Opera ????

Took my mother out for a lovely Christmas dinner and she was really delighted. The ambiance is just lovely and they have live music, too. It is definitely the perfect restaurant to celebrate special moments. Their steak was perfectly done and so tender. Vongole was delicious and fresh. Excellent coffee and i dream of their tiramisu! Their staff is so corteuous and receptive.

My first time to dine in L'Opera (considering I've been living in BGC area close to 15 years) and all I could ask myself was why didn't I try this sooner?!?! Ordered the oysters, duck-filled truffle ravioli, champagne risotto, rib eye steak, and tiramisu. The oysters and steak were average, but what I will definitely come back for would be the following: 1- Duck-Filled Ravioli - the filling was a bit mushy at first but after I got over it I was able to appreciate the amazing duck and truffle combination 2- Champagne risotto - deliciously rich and creamy 3- Tiramisu I couldn't stop thinking about it until the next day and really considered going back ???? On top of the great food, the staff was very attentive and anticipated our needs. Overall, great dining experience.

I went to L'Opera on Thursday the 26th May 2016, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. i was invited by a business client who was hoping to impress, he became very embarrassed as the evening and the meal progressed. I ordered the starter of Prosciutto ham with melon and a Parmesan  tole, the starter arrived looking very nice with an under ripe melon !!!!! I needed a knife to cut the melon.  If i had been paying for the meal i would have sen tit back, I however did not want to embarrass my host. My main course of Spaghetti Bolognese  Portuguese was very tasty however i was not given a spoon to eat the spaghetti with and my host had to get up from the table and physically grab the waiter after trying 3 times to call him when he was only 1 meter away from our table. The piece de resistance of how bad the restaurant was was not the fact they moved my plate when I had finished but my other guests had not (maybe they are short of dinnerware !!!) but when i asked for a Decaf coffee I was served a regular coffee which kept me awake until 3 am when  I resorted to taking a sleeping tablet to get some needed rest. if you don't have decaf tell me, don't serve me regular coffee and hope i wont realize !!!!! A terrible experience, i wont be going again even if paid for by a well meaning client !!!!! If you are the owner or manager please reply to me with your comments, reasons for such bad food and service or excuses !!!
