I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. I visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. Locavore has definitely earned a spot on our list of favorite dining spots and we can't wait to return.
Don't get me wrong... i loved the kanto style bbq, sizzling sinigang and the pakbet... but the think the service is a bit lacking... we got seated immediately no one gave us the a menu... good thing we dined here before and we already know what to order... then my wife waved to a server and met with a hand gesture implying "in a minute"... this probably went on for like 5 to 10 minutes... then our server, kim chiu, no really that whats written on her name tag seemed to be having a bad day... but i did enjoy the food and loved everything... i'd recommend this place, just a little tweaking on service... PEACE!!!
The desserts at Locavore are fantastic but for me that's about all I will be going back for. The food was not to my western palates liking. Xx
It was a reunion of friends from High School and University. This required a place where we could get rowdy while talking about those chaotic formative years and lots of Filipino comfort food to round out the evening. Locavore filled the spot with its clever take on Filipino classics. The evening's big hits were: Fried Oyster Sisig, Gising-Gising, Garlic Baby Squid, Boneless Lechon Belly, Turon, Pandesal Pudding, Tsokonut Sorbetes, and Steamed Organic Brown Rice. A must visit for lovers of Filipino food.
