Trattoria Svaneti - Mestia

Weak wifi, but awesome food and views from balcony.

Service was non existant, the waitress was constantly on her smartphone or watching the loud and disturbing TV.We had 2 soups as starters, which were good. But then the chicken shashlik was cleary not to be served, meat smelled like rotten! Service is included in the bill at an imposed rate of 15%, totally unacceptable.Don't go there.

Surprisingly cozy place with a healthy mix of locals and tourists. Comfortable, easy going service if you are polite, makes sense (refer for earlier remarks). Pretty good wine if they have stock. The view ain't bad either.

Some of the best food we had in Mestia, and at very reasonable prices. Good range of food on the menu too. The food is served in the traditional Georgian way ordered for the table (to share) and dishes are brought out from the kitchen piecemeal (not all at once). Atmosphere is really cozy and the warm fireplace was welcome after a day on the slopes. It was recommended to us by Svans, so is popular with the locals too.
