Rudy's Mexican Grill - Mesa

I'm disappointed to say that things have taken a turn for the worse at this restaurant. I used to be a loyal customer for years and absolutely loved this place. However, after not visiting for some time, I was shocked to see how much the prices had inflated. It cost $40.00 for just TWO burritos! I understand times are tough and the hours are limited from 10am to 3pm, but the price is simply unjustifiable. I feel let down and would have appreciated a bit more appreciation for my years of support. I hope things improve in the future, but I caution anyone considering dining here to be aware of the high prices.

If you're seeking genuine Mexican cuisine, this is the place to visit. I've sampled the tamales, sopes, and chilaquiles, all bursting with rich flavors. Kudos to the talented cooks in the kitchen for crafting such delicious dishes. The art on the walls enhances the authentic Mexican dining experience. Overpriced. For 5 of us, our bill was $100. No alcohol, just soft drinks with our meals. No waiters. I had the fish tacos. They were okay. The drink dispensers were out of regular Barqs Root beer, others were not available as well. Go to Taco Bellfor this type of price. The fancy menu names tend to cloud what meal you're ordering. Beware. I was disappointed.

I visited this place based on a recommendation that it would be an improvement over their other location in terms of ambiance, quality, and service. However, I was disappointed as the service was lacking - I had to order at the register and there was confusion about the menu items. I ordered a ground beef chimichanga platter with refried beans and rice, along with a fountain drink. I found it odd that I had to specify the type of beans and cup for my drink. The atmosphere was more comfortable than their other location, and I appreciated the chips and salsa that were brought to the table. Unfortunately, the chimichanga was not as crispy as I would have liked, and the ground beef lacked flavor. The portion of beans seemed to outweigh the amount of meat in the dish. Overall, the meal did not impress me and I left a significant amount of leftovers on the plate. I do not believe it is worth the long drive and high cost. While this location is slightly better than the other, I may consider returning for another visit if I happen to be in the area. The patio and bathrooms were nice and clean, which were positive aspects of the experience.

First visit. Was pleasantly surprised. The bacon breakfast burrito is one of the best i have had. Definitely at the top. Quality seemed super fresh all around. Took a few mins longer to make but it was worth it. And they give you chips n salsa on dine in. Service was super nice too. Will be back.
