Rubio's - Mesa

Rubio's has consistently been a reliable choice for us, especially with its unique blend of Mexican and seafood cuisine. I've visited this location several times, and each experience has been excellent. The food is always delicious, and our orders have never been incorrect. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly, although they could be a bit more upbeat. On our most recent visit, we arrived later in the evening and found the place not too busy, which allowed us to receive our food promptly. We will definitely return and highly recommend that you give it a try!

I've been visiting this Rubio's for years, and I've consistently had a great experience. Everything seems to be made to order, so there can be a bit of a wait sometimes. The salsas always taste fresh, and the menu regularly features seasonal specials.

If you enter from inside the mall, you'll walk through the outdoor seating area of Tiki tables to get to the dining area and the register. From the parking lot, it seems like there's no dining area until you reach the self-serve drink station. The self-serve salsa bar is back, and I highly recommend the jalapeño lime salsa; I can't wait for it to be sold in stores! I love chips, but I don't want to risk chipping my teeth. Rubio's chips are perfectly crisp, lightly salted, and free of greasy residue. I always dip them in the no-lard beans in between bites of the moist fish tacos. While these may not be the best fish tacos I've ever had, they offer a dependable flavor that sits lightly on the stomach, which is important when driving long distances. Additionally, there are plenty of options for salad lovers, vegans, vegetarians, meat-eaters, pescatarians, kids, and even those who may need softer food. Just a note: I visited on a Saturday around noon, and while it was a bit crowded, the service was timely, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. The location is also accessible for individuals with disabilities, and it welcomes diversity!

My favorite order here us the Shrimp Trio Plate which you can get with tortilla chips or greens and dressing. The tacos are always hot and fresh. I like the variety of toppings on these. This location seems to give more chips than others.

Great Staff and environment. Food tasted fresh and the salsa bar was well kept. Overall clean.
