Once you arrive, you will feel as if you are in the heart of the beautiful Mexico itself. The gravel road and traditional colors fill with the historic ambience of Mexico, take it from a girl who once called Mexico her home. When you enter, you will see the main terrace with many tables and a tonchimenea (which reminds me when I baked bread with my Abuela (Grandma). To walk past the terrace, enter the main glass door where you will welcome the host stand with one of its many hosts ready to welcome you. This restaurant offers a wide range of spicy, spicy, mouth-watering dishes that only have Mexican culture. My personal favorite, the Plato de Chimichanga, includes: crushed beef served with Spanish rice and beans, with acid cream, guacamole and cheese. Her hearty beef has various spices that create this unique chimichanga, along with special yellow rice that covers the whole plate; just like Grandma used to serve on Sunday. The food portions are relatively large and served on a brilliant colourful plate. At the Rancho Tia Rosa the food is just deliciously prepared. So tasty, in fact it is almost a shame if you are not able to finish the entire dish. While you enjoy your Plato de Chimichanga style and listen to the beautiful guitar chefs, you can notice a large tree that illuminates the outdoor terrace. The Rancho de Tia Rosa restaurant has a lively Mexican atmosphere where customers often visit this colourful food business. If you are in traditional Mexican cuisine and it is your first time in the East Mesa area, I strongly recommend you take a look inside and experience the food first hand.
Enchiladas were excellent... Monday margaritas special for 99 cents amazing value. Staff was fantastic. Only minor complaint is the salsa could use a Lil more spice for my taste....that's just me.
I've been going to Tia Rosa's since the 90s. It is one of my all-time favorites. Unfortunately, the McKellips location has not been performing to the usual Tia Rosa standards. Twice in the last 60 days, we have been very disappointed. Today service was slow even though there were very few customers. We waited 10 minutes for our drinks and had to ask for our server to place our order. The food was not worth the wait. The fish tacos were dry and no limes on the plate. The flavor was off on the seafood enchiladas, and the sides were cold. Super disappointing. I will be visiting the location on Higley and Guadalupe for future visits.
Came for brunch and had amazing fluffy eggs loaded in a taco made by Melissa they do also serve bottomless mimosas if you are interested. Alexea provided excellent service and recommendations. All in all a great great spot for Sun brunch, a little hidden from the main road and relaxing.
We went to Tia Rosa for the first time today as we just moved to the area. This will be our new “go to” place. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our server was on top of everything and very friendly. The decor is so fun. I can’t wait to come back when it’s cooler so we can sit outside!
