Aunque no había platos de la carta y el camarero no era exactamente la alegría del jardín, la verdad es que la comida era muy buena. comimos un cozido de grão à alentejana y un bacalhau à casa. cantidad muy abundante y bien cocinado todo. rematamos con un pastel despejado. ratio calidad-precio excelente.
Nos comimos allí hace 4 días y comimos una parrilla para dos gigantescos. el camarero y amistoso y todo muy limpio

Restaurant on the outskirts of Mertola. Food very nice. I had bacalhau com natas, which I was told would take 30 minutes, which it did, plus a little more…. It was worth the wait. Very tasty. Husband had steak with mustard sauce, which was also good, though if you don’t like lots of sauce maybe not for you. Usual bread and olives and cheese to start, plus some delicious ham, which the waiter brought to see if we’d like it. We did. Half a litre of very decent house red and some sparkling water was we thought all we could manage until husband fancied a digestif and had some flambeed barrique-aged aguardente, which he said had a brandy-like quality, and having had a sip or two I’d agree. The whole lot came to €52. A good experience! If you want somewhere flash this is not the place for you. For a decent local experience with honest local food and no-frills service you can do a lot worse!
