Tamuje - Mertola

An amazing restaurant in a very picturesque village. the tomato soup and the venison are heavenly. the cod was very nice, but I hate coriander so I didn't eat much. the choice of wine is wide and the ones we tasted were very delicious. a must visit.

Excellent food, excellent service. try the grilled cheese and don't miss the tomato soup. we had venison, wild boar, and a jealous angus steak, all well prepared and served. well accompanied by a local red called balanches. modern comfortable place. great eating! make sure they have a reservation.

What a joy to find this restaurant in mértola: we were on a balcony that was perfect as it was really hot this day, and had a great culinary selection from the regions. I recommend the “Sopa de Cação” (river shark soup) and the “Açorda de Bacalhau” (codfish bread soup,) very typical dishes of alentejo and of great quality here.

Best Place im Niemandsland von Portugal. Unglaublich gute Küche. Sowohl das Brot mit Brot und Brot : und Knoblauch und Trüffel, als auch die Nachspeise waren absolut perfekt.
