Moon Rock Cafe - Merritt Island

A good place for a snack at Saturn V Center. This is located on the northeast side of the building near the front of the rocket. It is a cafeteria style affair with at least 2 main areas to choose your food. The first part is a Deli style where you can order different types of sandwiches. The other area has pizza, salad, chickens, fries and hamburgers. There are many drinks choices with everything from soft drinks to juices and water bottles. You take your tray with your food and drink choice to a cashier at the exit. I ordered a Cuban sandwich. It was freshly prepared and heated under pressure. The server was very friendly and efficient. The prices were reasonable for a sandwich. There are two ways to sit and eat: inside and outside. The interior has several long tables with seating and the entire area offers about 100 people, while it offers air conditioning and a magnificent view of the rocket and the lunar lander. The outdoor seating area has only about 8 tables with umbrellas, but offers a beautiful view of the starting pads. Overall, good food and friendly staff, this is worth eating for a bite when you are in the center.

Pretty good food. Quickly from the way food intake is set up. The prices could be better, but I know that the proceeds for the operation go to KSC, so it's worth it. No government taxes here.

There's nothing in the burgers just meat.
