Counter Eatery Cafe - Merrimac

I have dined at the Counter Cafe and Eatery multiple times and have consistently found the food to be fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The coffee is excellent, and the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend trying the Rosti—you won't be disappointed. It's fantastic to have such a wonderful cafe within walking distance from home. Just what Merrimac needed!

Fantastic food (the French Melt is amazing) at great prices considering the quality and flavor. The atmosphere is nice, with plenty of tables indoors and ample outdoor seating. For book lovers, they even have a 'give a book, take a book' program at the back. The only thing they're missing is a comfortable chair or two for reading. Owned by a pair of French gentlemen, the service is consistently friendly and attentive. I've enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here, and I've loved every meal. Skip the nearby McDonald's and indulge in a quality coffee and a wonderful meal instead.

My wife and I tried the counter eatery cafe last weekend and were absolutely swept off our feet with the food and service off the staff. The place has a cool laud back vibe and the lunch menu was HUGE! The staff here were just the kindest most genuinely lovely people. Thank you foe the great recommendations on the cookies n Cream donuts and also the “breakfast omelette” that thing is a monster. All the food we had was epic and I would definitely recommend soy latte Can’t wait to come back guys. Thank you to the chefs also. The food was delicious.

This is exactly what Merrimac needed—a quality café where you can enjoy a quiet coffee, a delicious breakfast, or lunch. The decor is well-designed, and there's a spacious deck where you can relax and dine. The French owner is very passionate and provides excellent customer service. Plus, there are plenty of tempting homemade French pastries to indulge in.
