Charleys Cheesesteaks - Merrillville

Overall, it was a terrible experience. If you want to spend an outrageous amount of money on mediocre food and get a handful of French fries, go ahead and waste your money. The staff was generally rude, and having a 12-year-old managing the place didn’t help either—it added to the disappointing experience. I’d recommend that my family of seven never return.

I love the food. My favorite is the chicken California, it’s been my favorite for years. The lemonade is soo good too.

I just left South Sea Mall and ordered a Philly fry, but it was terrible! It was the worst meal I’ve had so far. I often eat at Charleys and know what to expect in terms of food quality, but this was far below standard. This was my first visit to this particular location, and I definitely won’t be coming back. When I asked the lady why the cheese looked like it had just been scraped off the floor, she told me it’s “cheese wheat.” It was literally in pieces on my fries. I mentioned that my fries had never looked like that before, and she insisted they always do. The staff was very rude, and the customer service was poor. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're hungry.

I love Charleys and have been craving it for 2 weeks. I was so excited to come here after work and I get there at 6:15. My husband and I waited at the front for a few minutes and were the only people in line. Finally someone came out from the back shouting “just so you know, no sandwiches anymore just drinks!” I’m not sure why they show they’re open until 7. I understand maybe closing at 6:30 to clean? But it wasn’t even 6:30? Very upset and let down. Love the sandwiches but rude employee and wrong close time advertised
