Sonic Drive-in - Merkel

Terrible experience. The restaurant gave us the wrong food, two drinks without syrup, and didn't properly close the bag of ice, resulting in a messy situation in our SUV. After speaking with the shift manager and driving 30 miles back, they agreed to fix the drinks and ice but refused to replace the food. They said the GM would be available in the morning, but I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. It's clear they prioritize fixing minor mistakes over satisfying their customers.

The staff at this Sonic location speak so quickly that it is impossible to understand them, and they often mix up orders as a result.

Melty shake. How do you make a bad shake?? Usually, Sonic food is terrible, but you can at least count on the sweat treats. Not just this location, as it was my first time here, but I think this place generally is going downhill.

We go here often because there aren 't many choices in Merkel but after today I 'm not so sure I will go back. I ordered on the app, you get the option of 5 condiments, I order a drink carrier (which is on the condiment list) some picante sauce and 2 syrups. I ordered 3 orders of French toast sticks which each come with one syrup. I get my order and I am given 1 syrup total. I tell the young man that I am supposed to have 5 because they come with 1 each and I ordered 2 extra and he said I am not going to argue with you, I will be right back . He then comes back and tells me that I will have to pay .50 each for the other two that I had ordered on the app. I gave him the money and he gave me 1 more and I told him that I wanted 2, he said he already gave me the other. I looked in my bag and I told him that he was right. He said I know, can I go now ? Absolutely rude kid! Oh and the burritos we ordered had no cheese on them.

I ordered a number five, they charged me for each individual item separately and told me because it was happy hour that the drinks were cheaper, they were not allowed to sell combos at that time. The food was not edible. Tossed it out after 1 bite. Waiting for a call back from corporate.
