Joy Garden - Meridian

The best Chinese food in town! Every time we visit, the food is consistently excellent. We've loved everything we've tried on the menu.

I felt a bit apprehensive about spending $50 on food from a new restaurant, but I was completely amazed! These were the best egg rolls I've ever tasted, and the portions were generous. Everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered for pickup, but the restaurant looked charming and inviting, and it had the most delightful aroma of the food wafting through the air! I would give them 100 stars if Google allowed it!

The only dish I wasn't particularly fond of was the Almond Chicken. I had another entree in mind, but an outstanding dish from a different restaurant (Bird Nest from Pad Thai House—see my review for context) has shaped my expectations. For just $10 per person ($20 total), the value was exceptional; the food could have easily been worth $30, and I would have felt just as satisfied. I was surprised to see the restaurant relatively empty, but it turned out to be a nice atmosphere—no loud groups around, which made for a pleasant evening. The four-person staff was quick and attentive; even with 13 orders during our meal, we received our food within just 15 minutes. I highly recommend supporting your local restaurants!

Great menu and tasty. The egg rolls are amazing and I love that they have the old fashioned Chow Mein with crunchy noodles. That's hard to find these days. We will be back often.

Food is decent. Some good some not so much. Ad many places like this do these days, every meat is I. A little ball of the same dough. This is not authentic, but most are not. Great sauces and great egg roll once I took the stupid batter off... it already has a shell people. Is this a North American thing?
