Oliva Enoteca - Mérida

We had dinner here at the end of the trip and it was one of our favourites. we both loved our pasta dishes and they have a wonderful wine card. super charming in every sight.

Highly recommended! restaurant, decoration, eating, service, everything was perfect. the cacio e pepe pasta have been surprisingly boiled, which is not just everywhere forward. do not forget to finish with the tasty tiramisu de la casa;

Oliva Enoteca used to be one of our top favorite restaurants in Merida. We travel to merida at least twice a year and always go eat there more than once per trip. Unfortunately this last time the food was noticeable different (not for good) ....It looks like they changed the chef and\or the cooks. The menu options are still the same but All the courses were so mediocre executed, the lasagna fritta was so tasteless on a new tempura style worst than any commercial Italian food chain. The beef Tártara had an overpowered flavor of salmon eggs, very unnecessary that even some of our family members got stomach sick the night after dinner, ending throwing up. Very bad. On their favor and trying hard to keep objectiveness the service and the ambiance still good but the main factor (THE FOOD) is now sadly disappointing.

Where do I start, nothing was out of place, the food was excellent, we tried a selection of starters with our group and multiple mains and desserts...All excellent, a new favorite in Merida, will be back...

The building, the menu and the service were all excellent. Nothing could have been better. My husband said his lamb stuffed pasta was the best pasta he has ever had and my prawns were delicious. Really a stellar night.
