Kraken Alta Cocina del Mar - Mérida

This little restaurant treated us like a royal. the chef spoke English and was excluded in his recommendations for possible dishes, milk, ice and tomato products. for those of us with food allergies this is rare! the octopus krakau my man ordered was excellent. I ordered the octopus dish that the cook recommended for my allergies. he also prepared a wonderful free appetizer. we enjoyed talking to him and his personal was great!

Now this is a commitment for us every time in merida, we just realized this time that the owner and chef is famous so that we haven't found him there anymore, was great that he visited us in our table to talk about dishes...and recommended but still have a place.

A great local seafood restaurant with an incredibly good menu. The staff was attentive, warm, friendly, and they have a superb seafood chef who came out of the kitchen to greet us and ask if we had any menu questions. Another ‘keeper’! We will be...back to Kraken! A treasure for fresh seafood lovers.

Kraken offers a wide variety of delicious meals. It is a Yucatecan tradition to only eat seafood for lunch, so the restaurant is only open during the day. The staff is friendly, the ambiance welcoming and fun and the food delicious. Located on the west...side of Merida in an area that seems to be exploding with growth (new Chedraui, new Walmart, new strip mall, etc). I recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes good seafood--singles, couples, groups, families, etc.

We returned to kraken once we came back to merida. krakens menu is so kreatiw and the seafood is so fresh. the staff is warm and friendly and the service is immaculate. casual and so inviting when they miss crooks, they missed meridas finest...seafood
