Casa Canela Mérida

Good food, good service. Casa Canela makes her own grain bread, a must try. I treated myself with eggs of an order of Chilaquiles divorciados. I ordered them overeasy volteados, tema suave but the yoke was more like medium. Notwithstanding this, our breakfast was very good, and I was particularly surprised that the molletes were quite large.

Although I prefer to eat where other locals do, Casa Canela was worth it. I had served Chilaquiles divorciados (Halbgreen/Halbbrotsauce) nicely.

Great for breakfast and coffee breaks, excellent service, affordable prices, great location, try the lunch packages.

Food good for yucateco type food. Tables were not clean. Had to ask to be wiped down. Small menu. We went there as we were told they had a large selection, maybe because of Covid they made it smaller. Did not ask. Corn bread they are famous for was ok. Not the best we have tasted in Merida. Coffee good. Service good. Bathroom clean.
