Taqueria Tablas - Merchantville

So for the past couple of weekends, I've been eating at this place, not at the actual restaurant in Merchantville, but at their stand at the Meadowlands Flea Market. These folks make great food. It has so much flavor and it taste so fresh. I've only had the luxury to have their tacos de pollo, bistec y lengua and tortas de milanesa and OMG, slammin'. I will warn you about the red sauce, it's fire. It's a family business. They are super friendly, welcoming and courteous.

BUSINESS IS CLOSED. The carnitas tacos are really good. The steak and al pastor are ok. The verde salsa is cooked tomatillos so it isn't the fresh flavor some may be used too but it is still good, a little spicy. I had the chorizo tacos as well but it didn't taste like I thought, not sure if I liked them. Not a great restaurant location, hope they make it. Not really a place to sit down and eat, the ambiance is not there. Take out is great. Check it out if you're in the area.

I grew up in Southern California and the food and atmosphere of this wonderful place remind me of home. Some of the best tacos I've had since moving to the east coast!
