Papa Joe's Café - Mercedes

A charming little find as I explore all the restaurants in Mercedes.

The food was excellent, and we received outstanding service. The waitress was very friendly, making our experience even better. Overall, the food tasted fantastic.

This is a fantastic spot to enjoy breakfast while catching up with friends and family.

I haven't visited this restaurant in years, and I must say, the food is consistently outstanding, and their sweet tea is absolutely phenomenal! However, the service leaves something to be desired. It felt more like a fast food experience. The servers are mainly just order takers; they bring you your drinks and food, but that's about it. They deliver your drinks and food at the same time as they drop off the bill, and they don't return to check on you. I needed a takeout box and wanted tea to go, but our server was too busy to even acknowledge us.

The grilled chicken is outstanding! They serve breakfast all day, and the service is quick. Plus, the prices are very reasonable.
