Nines American Bistro - Mequon

I was less than impressed with the River Club tonight. The service was adequate at best and the food (we all had fish — two perch and a cod) was fair. We’ve had some great meals here, and maybe this was an off night, but tonight wasn’t impressive. The price was great (under $100 for food and drinks), but the entire meal was lackluster.

This was the worst dinner I’ve ever had. The service was so slow, the waitress goofed up everyone’s dinners, chicken wasn’t cooked. I have never had worse food or service anywhere, when the meal was over they never asked if we wanted dessert just brought the bill and never came back. Terrible!

Friendly staff. The waitress even did separate checks for our party of 5. I know that is not always done. We loved the quiet so we could talk. Very nice ambiance. All enjoyed their food. It was Fri. so everyone had some type of fish fry. I will definitely return.

Everyones meal was great. Only complaint is they seemed a bit short staffed and we had a bit of a wait for drinks and food to arrive. I will definitely go back. Nice variety on the menu and there are a few more entries I need to try.
