La Belle Escale - Menton

We visited the beautiful port of call yesterday. we had no perspective because I had not consulted trip advisor. It was the best finding of all time. owned by two talented ladies (I love the power of the girls), one in front of the house and one as leader. food was fabulous, just like service. the service was really friendly, multilingual and very attentive. my husband took a steak and he said it was one of the best he ever had. Pepper seasoning was perfect. I had pasta and seafood - the sauce was delicious and fresh seafood. and our daughter had a pizza. It was the best we had in this area. I strongly recommend trying and we will certainly return.

My pasta was light and tasty, accompanied by a fresh and interesting green salad. My husband doesn't praise his grilled fish. I was disappointed by the cream burnt however - the cream was thick and not appetizing, not at all creamy as it should have been.

We returned after a recent positive experience, both for food and for service, on this truly friendly occasion. This time, it went less well. The service was pretty fast, my pizza had an excellent paste but still a tomato concentrate too acidic to my taste. We spent 49,50 euros in 4, an honest bill, with competitive prices compared to other local restaurants. I paid 50 euros and no money. I know very well that it is a very small sum, that I would have left, of course, but the rest has to be put on the table, to be fair, and not confiscated in the office. So a very positive evening and a without infamy and praise. Try again.

I went twice in a few days in this restaurant. I took two fish-based dishes and one meat-based. all 3 excellent, with high quality ingredients. Quick service, just count. I'll definitely be back.

Slow service both to get the menu but also our ordered drink. we ordered a pizza but we cautioned against canned mushrooms and cheap cheese on pizza - however, pizza dough was good. It's a real tourist trap that it's better to avoid.
