Przekaż informację zwrotnąI wanted to go to a parrilla while I was in Mendoza and all the reviews lead me here. I like that there is no great restaurant and very cold vibes. The parts here are big and there was no way to finish the size steak I have, so go to the smaller side when you go. The price seemed quite moderate compared to other restaurants.
I'm visiting Mendoza for a couple of months I have been dinning La Barra weekly. I can t find anything wrong with the place. Fantastic seating selections, if you can score a seat in the back patio underneath the grape vines next to the open air parilla grill to get the subtle smell of the meat being grilled ads to the magical ambiance. Great wine selection reasonably priced. Over all value is why i keep coming back every week for my steak fix. Steak brochetta is my favorite!! The place is also very clean the servers are charming very accommodating. I would discount any of the sour grape reviews you read give this a try... thumbs up!!
The female owner and staff are very sweet, the outdoor seating by the grill in the back is just beautiful with crawling vines and great mood lighting, and when it comes to the meat this was very, very good. Highly recommend the Asado style and save room because the cuts coming off the grill get better as the meal goes on! Definitely worth spending an evening or two here
Wonderful meal with friends at La Barra. Great cuts of meat (asado de tira, bife de chorizo, matambre de cerdo). Taken care of by Enzo and Susana who did a fantastic job. Highly recommended!
The concierge in the Park Hyatt has reserved for me an equal evening at this popular place. When my taxi arrived, a waitress waited for someone of my description and immediately led me to a reserved table in the recommended rear terrace at the grill. My first steak came nicely spiced, but over medium. I had rarely demanded medium. My expression (I appreciate) was solicited. Although she did not ask for it, a new steak was immediately bruised over the wood fire and submitted for approval. Good Malbec. Attentive servers. Personal attention of the owner and not expensive. What is not to like. Would come back, but there are so many restaurants in Mendoza, all I can do is recommend this.
