Mendon Mini Golf Snack

It is evident that this restaurant has been at the same location for quite some time, as the wear and tear is noticeable. We traveled a long distance to enjoy the batting cages, but unfortunately, it was not a worthwhile experience. Our plan was to play mini golf after swinging the bat, and even considered buying some food if not for a few issues. We pre-paid for both the cages and golf, but upon arriving at the cages, we were disappointed to find that the area was not well-maintained. The balls were scattered everywhere, the cages were dirty and covered in moss. The machine, though not modern, seemed to be functional. However, after loading it with balls, it took a while to start. After the first round, it stopped working with the second coin. Despite being given a replacement, it still did not work. We decided to ask for a refund due to the presence of too many mosquitoes and the poor condition of the cages. When we explained the situation to the young lady at the window and the owner, they seemed indifferent. The owner made a disrespectful comment upon hearing about our issues. The mini-golf was mediocre and had some potential safety hazards. Overall, the experience was disappointing and unprofessional.

Excellent fish and chips and huge servings of ice cream. Fresh cut fries are good.

I ordered unsweetened iced tea but received a strongly sweetened version after a 5-minute wait. When I pointed out the mistake to the staff, they insisted it was unsweetened despite the clearly labeled machine. The owner was rude and refused to admit the error, claiming he knew his product. Neither he nor his staff would taste the tea to confirm. The rest of the food was average snack bar fare, with the potato chips being crumbled and broken. Overall, I would recommend avoiding this place due to poor customer service and lack of compensation for the incorrectly made drink.

In Vermont, it's common to find the best food at hidden gems. The country fried chicken dinner is truly outstanding.

The soft serve ice cream definitely needs improvement. It toppled over before I even had a chance to leave the window, and this has happened twice now. However, the food and atmosphere at the restaurant are great.
