Poachers Pocket - Mendip

Haven’t been for a while, though we go as new owners, very impressed with the new menu, food was excellent. Lovely service, friendly, and good timing with service of food. Definitely would recommend.

Lovely old pub beautifully kept. Great food, I had duck spring rolls with salad and a creme brulee, a starter and a dessert rather than a main. Perfect portion size for me! My friend had a steak which he loved. Planning to return shortly!

Absolutely awful. Food was awful, staff were awful chef was awful. Just awful all round really. Don’t risk it.

Attractive building, welcoming staff. Surprised to find it almost empty on a Saturday evening. Problems started with the beer the only draught ale on offer was sour. I was told 'nobody else has complained '! A replacement Guiness was £6.00. Dinner was reheated microwaved...More
