The restaurant had a nice setting and was conveniently located next to a children's play area, although we didn't have children with us.
Terrible experience. I cannot recommend Costa after this ridiculous incident. I ordered 2 decaf lattes to go, but was given fully caffeinated drinks that resembled cappuccinos. The woman who served us, who I believe was a shift leader, was blonde and wore glasses. She definitely needs some training in customer service and coffee making. Costa, you are slipping.
This is the worst Costa experience I have ever had, even though I usually love Costa. The barista made our coffees to go, then realized they were for here and poured them into latte cups. This resulted in the coffee spilling down the edges and it was very strong. My cup was only about 3/4 full. The coffee was too strong and bitter. Our ham and cheese toasties were slimy, the worst we have ever had. To top it off, there was a woman dressing a young child on the serving counter where the food is served.
It was the best of a bad job! Food ok but not cheap. Outside tables dirty. Staff kept coming outside, but the tables and chairs were never wiped while we were there.
We came here for lunch, but we were rather late so limited choice. Normally I would pick a panini, but none left our fault completely. Chose a sophisticated pork and pancetta role and a chicken and pesto lattice pie with a portion of salad to share. Such amazing luck they were so tasty. We tried both and agreed both were excellent. Must experiment more often!!!
