But food was amazing and so was view. Well worth it. Its $8 to get up to look out. Then we got elk sliders$22, crab cakes $22, catfish $27, scallops w asparagus $28.
Date nights as well as family meals are both great for an evening out at the Lookout. We love it every single time we go. The view is amazing. The mechanical fish around the aquarium are amazing. The scenery is definitely a plus but the food is greattoo. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Great restaurant. great service. and reasonable prices. view of the light show on the bridge over the Mississippi river. and a view deck. we had reddish and welse. well prepared without much broth.
If you're not staying at the hotel, be prepared to pay $8 per adult and $5 per child (over age 4), which is a bit disappointing. My main issue was that the floor was quite STICKY; every time you walked on the carpet, your sandals or shoes would stick to it. However, our waitress, Destiny, was fantastic, and I loved that we could watch our food being prepared, which really impressed my child. The observation deck is awesome, offering great photo opportunities, and we enjoyed walking around while waiting for our food. As with most tourist spots, the food prices are on the higher side, but the steak was excellent, and the fries were incredible. They also have a kids' menu, and the bar area offers spacious seating with a lovely view of the aquarium.
Once inside, we were seated at a table in the far corner, which was fine since we enjoyed the stunning view. The scenery from the deck and through the glass walls is indeed breathtaking. However, the service was painfully slow. We waited for at least 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally, a server came over to take our order and brought us some water. The food took a long time to arrive. I ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, while my mom opted for a southwest salad with salmon, which was decent. However, the chicken was incredibly disappointing—dry, tough, and lacking seasoning, with an unpleasant greasy smell. It was even worse than what you’d expect from a fast food restaurant. I couldn't finish it. Throughout our meal, no one checked on us, and towards the end, the server finally returned to see if we needed anything else. We decided to order the dessert, bread pudding, but it turned out to be the worst I've ever had. While the outer portion was hot, the inside was cold. Overall, my experience was quite disappointing, and I won’t be returning.
